ICATS EZ
Introducing ICATS EZ, slated for delivery in June 2025!
What is ICATS EZ?
ICATS EZ retains the fundamental features of ICATS Pro (the original ICATS), and delivers an easy to use phone UI at a very attractive total system cost! ICATS EZ is ideal for those that want to train using the extensive ICA drill library and is sold in a "bundle" (ICATS EZ and projector), greatly simplifying the purchase.
What motivated creation of ICATS EZ?
It has become clear that some customers desire to exclusively use the ICATS for training, by utilizing the extensive drill library professionally designed by ICA, Pros, and other well known trainers. Creation of drills and use of ICA's advanced add-on capabilities (Statistics, Target Practice) are not of interest. This allowed ICA to develop a simpler UI for the ICATS as well as reduce the overall cost of the system!
How is ICATS EZ different than ICATS Pro (the original ICATS)?
The primary difference is the UI, a simple interface that uses your phone to manage all the features of ICATS EZ. Simply walk up to the table, scan the QR code, and launch the intuitive phone UI! The table below summarizes the main differences between ICATS EZ and ICATS Pro (the original ICATS).
ICATS EZ Overview
ICATS EZ has five main UI pages. Each UI page is reviewed below. This set of UI pages provides a great user experience, delivers all the critical features of an ICA Training System, and unleashes the full breadth of ICAs drill library for your training!
Main Page
This is the primary UI page. Click categories of interest and "Submit" to select a list of files. Select a file and click "Open" to load a drill! Favorites, Tools and Settings pages can also be launched from this page.
Favorites
The Favorites page manages a small set of drills that are significant for your current training. Favorite drills can be added, or removed, as your interests change or your skills improve.
Tools
The tools screen contains useful tools that apply to the displayed drill. The image below shows possible tools, but in real use only tools applicable to the current drill will be displayed.
Settings
The Settings page configures various ICATS settings, such as table size and projector mount. Calibration andICATS EZ Update are launched from the Settings page.
Calibration
Calibration is the process by which ICATS adjusts for projector position and table size, to perfectly fit images to your table. With the Calibration UI page, calibrating your ICATS to your table is simple!
